Chi Rho/CYF

Chi Rho (the first two letters for the Greek word Christ) and CYF (which stands for Christian Youth Fellowship) are made up of youth in grades 6-12. Led by Lynn and Russ Aley, this active group tries to meet twice a month. Work and play are balanced, with equal emphasis on serving our church and community and having fun with other young christians in the church. Mission trips have included trips to Texas, Yakima, and Tacoma.

Once a year, we participate in Youth Sunday, in which the Chi Rho and CYF are in charge of the whole worship.

Several youth formed a band and played during worship on Youth Sunday.

The sermon on Youth Sunday was acted out in skits.

This is the children's choir - they practice during Sunday School each Sunday.

We also run garage sales, an Easter brunch, and much more through the year. Of course, we do many fun things as well, such as hockey games, bowling, parties, and even a cabin trip every summer!

JYF

JYF, Junior Youth Fellowship, is made up of youth in grades 1-5. They do a fun activity once a month, and are led by Brian & Cindy Kissinger. Past activities have included roller skating and trips to the Pumpkin Patch. Participating in both youth groups at Country Homes is definitely a rewarding experience.
